Power Dressing

Finally I managed to make an overdue visit to the Design Museum to see the ‘Women Fashion Power’ exhibition; a morning playing hookie well spent if you ask me.

Showcasing the relationship between influential women and their clothes, you are able to browse the history of clothing over the last 150 years (well technically the story starts with Eve and her forbidden apple!). Fashion is a powerful form of self expression – where one individual is looking to garner attention, another might be dressed to assert authority – and the first impression someone has of you. Take a closer look at how royalty, politicians, models, designers, CEO’s and music artists have used fashion to define, empower and enhance their position in the world.

Make sure you pay a visit before 26th April 2015.

Get In Line

Us Brits are known for our love of queues. Make sure it’s time well spent with some of the most exclusive sample sales in London – we could all do with some help to save pennies during the Christmas splurge! From one-off pieces, to old season, designer to the couture you can have it all at bargain prices.

Shop Sorbet Shades For Winter

Ice-cream pastels are still with us for AW14. In every shade of pink, blue, lilac, green and blush pastels are not just for summer. Seen on the catwalk at Acne, Jil Sander, Valentino and Rodarte this colour palette is altogether softer and more feminine, so cosy up in a mint green mohair knit or a lilac cashmere coat.
